Okay, as I have said before I am the President of LGBT at Brockenhurst college. For the past 2 years that I have been at this college I have been desperate to set up a college pride/parade. I searched everywhere for idea’s and examples of what people have done before… Guess what… It hasn’t been done before! Making my idea of a College pride completely original and meaning that our college will be the first college in the UK to hold a pride event. I am ecstatic about this as my LGBT group finally agreed to start organizing one.

We set a date; 22nd May 2012. However, being president means that I have a lot of planning to do as a lot of the LGBT group are shy and barely talk. Which is perfectly fine, and I’ve told them that none of them need to get involved as some of them feel it may ‘out’ them.

I need to start thinking of things that we could do to make this a proper Pride event. I have already thought of music and a drag race. Perhaps asking for local businesses to donate prizes for certain games we can hold, and food we can sell, and all the money will be sent to a gay-related charity. I have also started creating posters and bulletins to go around to inform people of the college Pride, and lastly started writing notes for tutors to read out asking that if anyone were interested could they please e-mail the LGBT e-mail to take place in a parade and to march for a gay related cause, or purely to dress up and march along at lunch time around the college.

However, being the FIRST college Pride, EVER, I want it to be huge! I need loads of idea’s that are do-able on a £0 budget. Donations may be do-able, and our college is an arts college, so we have lots of actors, singers, musicians, artists, people who make various things, and sculptures. So hopefully anything we need made or any performance may actually be very do-able. For anything else we can ask for charitable donations and charge for whatever event.

Please, please, please, if you are reading this and you feel this is a worthy cause, think of some idea’s of what to do at a college Pride event. The only things to keep in mind is that we have to be careful with any electricals, as it will be outside and we aren’t allowed wiring across the field, and we need ideas on how we can ‘police’ the event as there have been 1 or 2 homophobic incidents in the last 2 years. This is a risk, but it should be amazing, and I think that if we have the proper ‘policing’ whats to stop us?! The whole idea about Pride is to stand up and be PROUD of who you are, regardless of how many times we may be knocked back.

Thank you for any feedback you give.

So I promised to keep posted about my life. Well, this is me at the moment (the pink haired one). My display photo was also me, kissing my friend (one of my few ‘straight’ friends) Amy. However, in this picture I’m with Felicity (Flick) at my college cafeteria. I’ve had pink hair now for about 2 weeks, its unfortunately fading in my layers which sucks as I have no money to buy new hair dye -_-. Please note - When I say one of my few straight friends, I don’t mean to imply I only hang around with gay people, or only want to hang around gay people. It just seems to have worked that way as the college I go to is so gay friendly, we have a lot of gay people at it. It just seems that straight people are hard to come by at Brockenhurst. Well thats the news of the day, unless you are a facebook friend, in which case you can check out my reaction to ‘2 Girls 1 Cup’ seeing as I was bullied into it. If you haven’t got me as a friend, the name is ‘Blaize Hackworth’! :)Drop by, leave a comment! :DBlaize xxx

So I haven’t mentioned this yet but I am a singer/songwriter, and I play 8 instruments. I’m really into music if you haven’t noticed! Haha. I have a name for myself even though I’m a ‘one-man-band’. I’m Custom Crime Scene. My friend ‘Ollie Taylor’ does all my recording for me and producing… and well, just about everything other than writing, playing and singing.
This isn’t an advertisement no a product placement, it actually ties in with gay rights this time.
If you down at my previous blog/rant, you’ll see how angry I am about ‘Proposition 8’. If you don’t know what that is please read the previous blog. So Anyway I got so worked up I decided to vent in another original song, this time called ‘We’re Still Here’. Its about gay rights and the fight we have come through to get where we are today, yet some people still want to push us back.
Anyway I’m putting the lyrics, just below, please take a look! If I can I’ll record it myself and put it up so you can listen to it and download it for free, if you want it.

Custom Crime Scene - We’re Still Here

I have my ex-girlfriends initials etched on my old guitar,
Are you gonna tell me that we don’t belong?
In a world that prides itself on equality?
In a world we see in beauty?

How long must we watch this fight?
To stand up for basic human rights?
How can you tell me that its wrong?
How can you tell me we don’t belong?

How many gay people must God create?
Before you see that maybe he wants us here?
How many divorces can you go through?
And still not grant a marriage to a loving couple?

You may think the fight is over but its far from,
I thought I was over-reacting to whatever may come.
So what you can’t get married in a church?
But to the religious gay people that really hurts.
To be shut out from what you believe,
To be shut out by people you see as your family.
So you’ve said we can’t adopt?

That our lifestyle is just too corrupt?
Last time I checked there was a fight against abuse before,
Last time I checked I thought that was what we were all fighting for?

How many preists and legislations must we pass?
Before you see we’re not asking much of you?
Just for equality, Isn’t that what jesus would do?

So we’ve fought HIV, AIDS and stigma,
Religious groups and hate groups and still not in the clear.
Now you want to deny us how far we’ve got,
but we’re still here! We’re still here!

Thanks for reading,

So I have been looking for tops to wear for 2012 Gay Pride. I have seen lots of tops with a certain slogan on them, saying ‘NO H8’. I had no idea where this ‘8’ came from, or why it was put in another colour… So I looked it up. The 8 stands for Proposition 8.
Proposition 8 was a ballot in California in 2008 that gave people the choice to vote ‘yes’ or ‘no’. This wasn’t a yes or no to a smoking in public law, or drink driving, or something that would directly harm yourself or another, but something much, much worse. Proposition 8 gave people the chance to vote out the already legalized same sex ‘marriage’. I was already as disgusted as I thought I could be. The USA state of California tried to vote out civil partnerships, after having already granted it. However, this wasn’t he end of my stress.
In an attempt to find out more about Proposition 8, I found a video. I thought that it would be other people like myself saying that this was atrocious, but instead I was faced with a cartoon that would be accessible even to a 5 year old on why Proposition 8 was a good thing and why people should vote against the right for gay people to be married in the eyes of the state. It stated that gay marriage was a threat to families. The cartoon followed a straight couple who were friends with a gay couple. The straight couple were unsure of what to vote on the Prop 8 ballot. So the straight husband looked up on the internet why Proposition 8 would make a difference… Gay people would not be able to adopt. That in itself turns me more and more against the fact this ballot was even a ballot in the first place! But this man was like ‘oh no! they can adopt?!’. The straight wife called her friend in another state that had allowed gay marriage and rights to find out that in 2005 a teacher told a story during story time at a school called ‘The King and The King’, about a Prince who marries a Prince. When parents complained they were denied the decision to take their children out of lessons that would educate them about gay people and equality for them. Sorry but I have to scream HELL YEAH! Go them! Children should know about all walks of life, but in this cartoon this was a total denial of straight peoples rights. Admittedly there is a point in which someone may feel that they are being force fed information that they don’t want to know, but in this case we have to ask, is this too far? I do not think so. People should be informed, and a story book is not going to do harm. By all means I understand Governments not sitting in debate with gay porn on a huge flat screen T.V. the size of the white house in the background, but wouldn’t that be the same as thinking about Governments not having straight porn on in the background? you wouldn’t show a child neither, correct? Yet this cartoon made this innocent story book about 2 Princes into almost pornographic material.
The cartoon ended with the straight couple voting YES to proposition 8 (that gay marriage should not be allowed) but staying friends with their gay friends.
Although it may seem I am going over the top on this matter as, I am glad to inform you, the proposition did not carry. It has been stated on various websites that they are going to bring back the ballot for another voting this year in America. I am outraged that in 2012 people still think this way and are trying to vote out equal rights.
Spread the word and remember everyone should be equal, regardless of law and legislation. This is wrong.

When did you decide to be straight? When are you going to tell your parents that you’re straight? When will you fight for your rights to be straight? I don’t care if you’re straight just don’t flaunt your lifestyle in my face…

We don’t say this… so why should you?

Anyway to any readers I may have I am off to sleep, already too late as I am hoping to wake up and watch the sunset with a girl, even if only through text ^.^
I did say I’d keep my readers informed on my life… So there’s a spoiler :3

So I want to talk about the all time hated question that we are ALL asked, at least once, but on mostly averaged around 5 times a day. ‘How do lesbians have sex?’. I think I speak for all of us when I say ‘Don’t you just want to rip their balls off?’. And although we tell ourselves that the enquirer is just purely simple… to tell the truth how many of us try to answer it? How many of us know how to answer it? I mean yes there is fingering, and oral, and toys, and so on and so forth, but to the heterosexual world that’s purely foreplay, not sex. So my task today is to answer the infamous question.
Firstly in my quest to defeat the question I… SEARCHED THE INTERNET!! Yes, the source of many great genius’s (even those who can’t spell the plural of genius). To my (lack of) surprise most of the results were ‘yahoo answers’ questions by 14 year old boys, most likely looking for wank fodder [excuse my french]. In almost an hour of searching I only found one serious answer that basically explained that we can have sex in the same way a boy and a girl could. Where I don’t disagree with this, I don’t think its been put quite simply enough for the simpletons that ask the question. However I do not intend to write out a detailed explanation with a step-by-step guide and diagrams, but rather explore the beauty which is lesbian sex.
So How do lesbians have sex?
My Answer - With passion. More so than the average heterosexual one night stand… or even homosexual! We don’t have male appendage’s, so when we have ‘sex’ we’re not looking for a hole in which to put one. Sex isn’t about getting what you want out of it, but making sure the other person does. Also, yes, sometimes it is the same as heterosexual sex. We are human, we still have urges, regardless of where they lie, and although we do not have a penis, we have the next best thing IF we want to use them. Dildo’s and strap-on’s and even one better vibrators. I would like to see a man insert batteries up his arse and make his penis vibrate. I’m sorry guys but we have you beat on that one. I know, I know you could use one guys, but what guy would sacrifice using his penis for a vibrator?
(I am sounding very anti-guy at the moment, I’m not, its just a preference, and I’m sure heterosexual girls love it…)
Bottom line is that all sex is sex, manual or oral, its just that we don’t have the same penetrative sex, but it is still sex. People try to say that fingering and oral is only foreplay but what is it called? Its not called oral foreplay is it? Its oral SEX. Although manual (fingering) doesn’t have the same analogy, it is known as ‘finger fucking’. This is because all forms of sex is sex. Why should it be any different regarding the body parts involved?

So there is my answer, I hope you enjoy it, I hope it has answered the question for you, and not too graphically. At the end of the day sex is beautiful and fun. I won’t lie and say I believe it should only be done with someone you love, yes in an ideal world that’s correct, but its not an ideal world, and we ALL have hormones and needs, and that is nothing to do with gender nor sexuality, nor any other factor of the body or mind. The key thing is to have fun, be safe, and let it mean something, if not everything.
